1881 Zither Table
A play day for a zitherist usually entails packing a zither, music stand, table and bundles of sheet music which, when added together, can be quite cumbersome. Franz Waldecker, an early zither player and business owner in Washington, D.C., realized this and sought a simpler solution. His patented zither table also functioned as an instrument case and music holder.
