A. Kabatek Zither Method, translated by Maurice Jacobi

Post by Dave »

This early German zither method by A. Kabatek, with additions by Johannes Pugh, was translated to English by Maurice Jacobi, a former Philadelphia Conservatory of Music zither professor. A few notes about this work: pages 2 and 4 in the original are blank, so they have been omitted from this copy. Ignore the instructions on page 3 regarding hand positions and refer to Taborsky's method instead. A big thank you to Rudolph Mueller for sharing this with the zither community!

Thanks very much for posting all of these methods. Rudy, a personal thanks. It's greatly appreciated. Perdentlosi is a musical term I've never been aquainted with in my years of being a musician!
