Attended the zither play day on Sunday, Oct., 16th, at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster, PA. Six zither players were in attendance. As a starter, the group went through the pieces that will be played at Jane's upcoming seminar this Saturday. By far, "Schöffau, Napoleon: reiss aus!" was the smoothest piece played and up to speed. Other pieces performed included Freundorfer's "Schwanthalerhöher," "D' Stoanagerln" by Brandlhofer, "Münchner Walzerklänge" by Schwarz and several others.
During a break, I had a closer inspection of Bill's Halb-Ideal Reform zither. The first one I've seen up close. After the play day, Tom sat down with a new zither student!
