A reader of the web site shared photos and the following note for a zither purchased years ago at Zapf's Music Store.
"Many years ago we purchased a Zither from Zapf Music Store in Olney, Philadelphia, PA. This zither was made in Philadelphia by Roderich Schuster. Our daughter took lessons from Mr. Zapf."

Re: Roderick Schuster 38 string Luftresonanz Concert Zither
My first really good zither was a Schuster from Zapf's. It was a 40 string harfenzither. I got it from him in 1975. I wish I still had it. I traded it in to Sofian for the 42 string Meinel. I still have a picture of me with the instrument taken at Winfield, Kansas in 1976.
