having had two schwarzers, my experience is that tone is inversely proportional to "schmuck" (frosting): the less decoration, the better the tone.
the one with much inlay is now in the schwarzer museum in missouri.

using the height of the weizen glass (usually 24 cm) as reference, the playing surface height of the table in the picture is then approximately 72 cm, and
the box on the chair is then approximatly 12 cm,
subtracting, we then end up with a playing surface height of approximately 60 cm.

nice idea with the folding legs, but would the ankle-height "trestle" get in the way, and distance the player from the strings???

According to Jan Luty of the Trachtenverein Wendlstoana, Kurt von Eckroth will be playing at the Bavarian Oktoberfest in Milwaukee, on stage 5-6 p.m. on Friday Sept 16 and 23, and in the Weinstube, crowd dependent, September 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, and 30, 2011.
