Proper Clef: The score for "abba schau schau" has been edited to the proper clef for the accompaniment line. It will sit for a couple of days and then be re-submitted, properly aged.
Thanks all for your patience.

Thank you Velocio for the link Great intro by the player, what a master. Oma would just give us the pitch...and off we went.

Here are two of my favorites, written in the style of Schwinghammer, whose "leichte stückl" series is a wonderful adjunct to Dondl's "Heimgarteen" works.

Re: Transcriptions of Hymns for concert zither
I would suggest using a basic hymnal from any Protestant Church to capture a season's worth of hymns. You will have 4-parts immediately presented along with the text to follow along. You can choose which notes you want depending on your level of enthusiasm and skill-level. You may find just playing the melody line satisfying or inserting the bass line as well to give it more of an ensemble sound. Denominational Hymnals that generally are populated with great hymns are: Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational/United Church of Christ, Baptist. If you know a Salvationist, you could get one of the Salvation Army Song Books which has loads of really good hymns.

Re: Transcriptions of Hymns for concert zither
Here is another "not quite a hymn" , a song of lament, almost a funeral dirge. However, this arrangement may be of interest to some beginners as it includes griffbret harmony with lots of left hand thumb work, some open string accompaniment, and griffbret exercise in the higher (4th ) position.
The indicated beats/minute may be a little high.
