Georg Tiefenbrunner reproduction

Post by Dave »

Miguel Angel, in Andalusia, Spain, is currently building a reproduction of an early zither by Georg Tiefenbrunner. He shared these photos of his work in progress and a description of the instrument's beautifully made pillar.

The new pillar is made of Cocobolo wood with inlay Pernambuco wood, mother of pearl, abalone, ebony and bone.
