Franz Xaver Kerschensteiner had his workshop in Regensburg Germany.
This zither was built in the year 1887.
Kerschensteiner invented this type of zither. it has a special kind of Bottom.
The Bottom fom this Zither is called pianobottom.
The string saddle is fixed on the bottom and doesn´t douch the top.

So the pianobottomzithers sounds very much louder then normal zithers.

This Zither is made of Palisander and ivory. The Pianobottom is made out of spruce.
So its a very expensive model.
This zither is already the oldest usable harpzither from Kerschensteiner, which still existed.
