Heidi, your color schematics made me look at the zither in a whole new light, gave me a whole new appreciation for those who gave us this instrument. Thanks x 10^6.

A quote Bill Steininger of Lake Geneva in Southern Wisconsin...

"once you start studying the zither, you realize the harp is a piece of cake"...

.....Bill also plays harp.

Some contrapuntal work, very different from broken chords. This is still so slow. Over a week to move from Schneider Ex. 28 to Ex 29.

I have to "hunt" for nearly every note, unless the rest stroke leaves me ready to play the adjacent string. Play left hand alone - no problem. Play right hand alone, no problem. Combine them - the "opposing motions" of the fingers really slow me down. I want to have left hand fingers right behind the frets to prevent the "buzz", but usually don't succeed. Controlling three different motions at once is tough.

PS - did anyone ever hear back from Kurt Eckroth about the Skype lessons?
