Does anyone have a recommendation/favorite electronic tuner? I have a basic Korg and sometimes it can differentiate bass or contrabass notes, sometimes not. It would be nice/a great time-saver to have a tuner that can quickly recognize more than the octave surrounding middle C.

Re: Playing with the left Pinkie
In my lesson with Tomy Temerson, he told me, for aesthetic reasons, that the left pinkie stays up high parallel to the board- as mine was going up & down/ in all directions depending on the song. Anne had told me Tomy had her bound the pinkie to the ring finger with a rubber band to keep it from...

The left thumbnail/suffering for our music
In an ongoing discussion with my zither friends, I've been trying to figure out what to do about the damage to my left thumbnail from too much 'glissade'/too much thumb vibrating against the fretboard strings, creating a notch in the nail. Everyone had a different answer/different idea. I tried tapi...

something new to hear/to learn
I randomly found this piece online, played by one of Wilfried Scharf's students. Does anyone recognize the name of the song/ have the sheet music to it? It's so lyrically pretty.

Spring/String Cleaners
I've been looking online on the various string cleaners to delay a bit the inevitable changing of my open strings. Has anyone had any luck with a particular product? I've only tried "fast fret" which works okay, but would like to try something new/better.

Re: King Keyes - Gypsy Wedding
Thank you for sharing these. Anything from King correctly presupposes a good arrangement by a master zitherer. Something new to work on!

Re: Schwarzer Perfekta harfenzither
I started going through that Glier catalogue again www.zither.us/files/glier_catalog.pdf and saw that they made a folding zither too (klappzither)...with travel case! Did any other companies make them at that time/ has anyone seen them for sale other than the ones that Hartwig makes today?
