Re: Franz Schwarzer Zither
Here is a link to pictures of my find. I’m awaiting delivery of a complete set of Bergfee Green Label strings. While I have got it completely unstrung, I’d like to clean it up. Is there a polish or finish renewer I can safely apply to such an antique instrument? https://photos.app.goo.gl/zFkxcyMWtEV...

I would like to send fotos. However, when I attempt to attach even one with Add Files, I receive a prompt that the attachment is too large.

Re: Bergfee Strings
I attempted to order a set of Bergfee Green Label strings from Amazon, only to receive a message this morning from their supplier, Tobias Pöhling, that they are out of stock until the end of November. No cracks, separations, delaminations, no corrosion of the tuning pegs, no wear signs on the frets or fretboard, etc., and only one light scratch on t...

Re: Bergfee Strings
Thanks, Ken Bloom. That’s a very clear explanation of the difference between the Blue and the Green. And, I was wondering.

Bergfee Strings
Faced with the prospect of restringing (most anything I’m encountering in my search for an instrument would require restringing), I notice that Amazon US carries Bergfee strings. Are they good ones? And there are also three grades, Red(steel), Blue, and Green (both nylon). Which among these would be...
