Re: Franz Schwarzer Zither

Here is a link to pictures of my find. I’m awaiting delivery of a complete set of Bergfee Green Label strings. While I have got it completely unstrung, I’d like to clean it up. Re: Franz Schwarzer Zither

I would like to send fotos. However, when I attempt to attach even one with Add Files, I receive a prompt that the attachment is too large.

Re: Bergfee Strings

I attempted to order a set of Bergfee Green Label strings from Amazon, only to receive a message this morning from their supplier, Tobias Pöhling, that they are out of stock until the end of November. Very disappointing. I must completely restring my newly acquired 1897 Schwarzer 32 string, and a wh...

Franz Schwarzer Zither

No cracks, separations, delaminations, no corrosion of the tuning pegs, no wear signs on the frets or fretboard, etc., and only one light scratch on t...

Re: Bergfee Strings

Thanks, Ken Bloom. That’s a very clear explanation of the difference between the Blue and the Green. And, I was wondering.

Bergfee Strings

Faced with the prospect of restringing (most anything I’m encountering in my search for an instrument would require restringing), I notice that Amazon US carries Bergfee strings. Are they good ones? And there are also three grades, Red(steel), Blue, and Green (both nylon). Which among these would be...
